Letter from Arnold Schwarzenegger
Dear Animal People,
The ability to Change and Adapt have to be two of the most precious gifts that human beings posses. To continue to grow and embrace new adventures will ultimately keep you a happy, engaging person.
As a native New Yorker come full time resident of country Australia, there were adaptations made to my everyday life inherent in the change of my environment. Interestingly there was still plenty of New York in this girl and that sense of community and kinship with other beings manifested itself in a line of luxury, urban pet products: that is Prik & Ribs. Yes, Urban Pet Products, because the animals were and are my friends. Urban, because these products are designed for the pets that goes places and needs to be comfortable is as well as out of doors.
From our Whippet Zipper to the sheep and cattle, all of our animals are orphans or local "ne'er do wells". We have been given many animals over dinner, at the local pub and even a few natives have come and stayed for a while.
They are, with our young son Aidon, our family and we take care to live with them.
As the relationship with each of our animals grew, one by one over the years, I looked for specialty items for their special needs. I wanted these implements to be functional, comfortable and all the while, beautiful. I approached a saddle maker - a true leather smith - to cut and sew the range I designed for our own animal family.
The products are all made from the very best fleece, leather and oil skin fabric I can find. They are elegant in their simplicity.
Prik & Ribs is 100% Australian inspired and created.
Live, Laugh and Love well!

About Christi Valentine - Anderson
I am a 37 year old Native New Yorker who lives in Australia since 1992 with my husband and son on a farm situated on the Great Ocean Road. I studied and worked in New York City graduating from New York University with a bachelors degree in both Physics as well as Communications. I grew up in Up State New York on a Polled Hereford Farm, that my parrents developed as a hobbie.
Normally I am a sport and adventure photographer and writer. My husband is a retired sportsman. We have a farm full of orphans and offcasts which make up it's animal population: Alpacas, Sheep, Horses, Dogs and Cattle, all pets and all family. Our farm is not my livelyhood it is my passion, as is Prik & Ribs. I personally buy all the leather and fleeces plus all of the other bits. The collars are my design based on both fashion and function. The collars and leads, which make up our core productline, are cut and sewn by a saddle maker named Scott Maynes. Scott is a craftman. Scott does beautiful work and often custom leather products.
Prik & Ribs was inspired by the needs of our whippets Zipper and Glider. The products feature some items perfectly suited to the hound family and others for a myriad of other breeds.
